Background

In pursuit of our mission to catalyse impact investing and strengthen Nigeria’s social finance ecosystem, the Impact Investors Foundation (IIF) is stepping up efforts to deepen stakeholder engagement and secure sustainable funding for its programmes and initiatives. To this end, the organisation is re-advertising the position of Partnership and Fundraising Manager to engage a highly capable professional who can drive strategic partnerships, grow the Nigerian National Advisory Board for Impact Investing (NABII) network, and enhance the visibility, trust, and financial sustainability of IIF. This role is central to strengthening our institutional capacity for resource mobilisation and ecosystem coordination. Qualified candidates with a proven track record in fundraising and stakeholder engagement are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will be expected to commence work immediately after selection.

Position Summary

The Investors Foundation (IIF) seeks to appoint a capable and results-oriented Partnership and Fundraising Manager. The role is critical to addressing ongoing funding challenges and deepening stakeholder relationships across IIF and NABII.

The successful candidate will drive partnership growth, enhance the visibility and credibility of IIF and NABII, and mobilise sustainable resources to support key programmes such as the Deal Source Africa (DSA), Nigeria Wholesale Impact Investment Fund (WIIF), the Enterprise Support Organisations (ESO), and the Nigerian Impact Investing Research  Industry Collaborative (NIIRIC).

  • Growth in NABII membership and ecosystem participation.
  • Improved grant proposal quality, funding inflows, and overall financial sustainability.

Scope of Work

  1. Fundraising and Resource Mobilisation
  • Lead the design and implementation of innovative fundraising strategies to secure diversified funding sources.
  • Develop high-quality grant proposals, donor pitches, and sponsorship packages aligned with organisational priorities.
  • Strengthen IIF’s donor pipeline through proactive cultivation and relationship management.
  • Identify new funding streams, including impact funds, CSR partnerships, and blended finance opportunities.

 

  1. Strategic Partnership Development
  • Forge and sustain strategic partnerships with development agencies, corporates, investors, and public sector stakeholders.
  • Strengthen collaboration frameworks that enhance IIF’s credibility and long-term financial resilience.
  • Develop memoranda of understanding (MoUs) and partnership models that deliver measurable results.

 

  1. Stakeholder Engagement and Visibility
  • Deepen relationships with key stakeholders within the Nigerian impact investing ecosystem and beyond.
  • Represent IIF at conferences, forums, and policy engagements to position both as sector thought leaders.
  • Develop communication and engagement plans to enhance partner satisfaction and public visibility.

 

  1. NABII Engagement and Ecosystem Growth
  • Support the NABII Secretariat in member engagement, retention, and value delivery.
  • Design and implement membership drives, benefits programmes, and annual dues follow-up mechanisms.
  • Grow NABII’s visibility through strategic collaborations, events, and communication initiatives.

 

  1. Programme and Sustainability Support
  • Work with programme leads to align partnership and fundraising initiatives with DSA, WIIF, ESO NIIRIC objectives.
  • Develop sustainability and scale-up frameworks for IIF’s programmes.
  • Track, evaluate, and report partnership and funding outcomes for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of an MBA or Master’s degree in Public Relations, Business Development, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • At least seven (7) years’ progressive experience in fundraising, partnerships, or stakeholder management within the non-profit, development, or impact investing sectors.
  • Proven record of successful resource mobilisation, partnership negotiation, and donor relationship management.
  • Strong communication, strategic thinking, and proposal writing skills.
  • Demonstrated passion for impact investing and sustainable development in Africa.
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and diversity in partnership engagement and organisational representation.
